Club Earth. Written by Gail Gauthier. G.P. Putnam’s Sons, 1999. ISBN 0-399-23373-3. 152 pages. $15.99.
Brief Plot Description: Will and Robby are visited by aliens all the time. They tell their parents all the time that they are having aliens over for dinner but they never believe these two brothers. One day when an entrepreneur alien comes to earth to visit he goes to the Denis family home and tells them that their destination is going to be called Club Earth. It will be very pricy for some so only the best aliens will come to earth to stay with them. The catch; they get none of the profits and they have to do all the cooking and cleaning.
Their first guest comes as a shock to everyone. He loves to clean and organize so he does just that and has a blast doing it. When the next one comes he is forced to go on the boys’ camping trip. This alien is ex-military and is planning a war on the few girls at the camp. Another one comes without a reservation and stays with the family for too long and then some. Finally their contract is terminated and they are free to live in peace with the one alien that stayed.

Personal thoughts: I laughed so hard reading this book. I thought it was ridiculous and hilarious that aliens wanted to come to earth and eat health food but it was a great read.
